There's nothing like a Long Beach Island sunset, but this year they have been few and far between. But when we are fortunate enough to catch one, it's worth taking in the view.
One of my favorite spots to watch the setting sun is at Viking Village in Barnegat Light. It's quite picturesque to see the sun framed in the rigging of a scallop boat silhouetted against the bright orange sky.
I thought that just about now you could use one of our famous sunsets to get you in the mood for another season on LBI. Right now, the sun sets around 7:45 pm, so if you're on the Island and conditions are favorable for a colorful sunset, take a drive up to Viking Village and watch the sun go down. I guarantee you won't be disappointed.
